Wader Pants
5 productsThe perfect balance of mobility and coverage
When it comes to fly fishing, mobility and coverage always seem to be in conflict: knee and hip waders leave you nimble, but wanting to get closer to the action, while chest waders can feel sluggish, and hot making their extra coverage difficult to wear.
Waist Waders give you the coverage you need to confidently handle hip deep water, without the range of motion restrictions chest waders can sometimes cause. If you’re an angler who likes to move fast and light, this might be the ideal choice for you.
A material for every condition and budget
Just like our other waders, we offer chest waders in your choice of materials to keep you comfortable in any conditions:
Breathable waist waders use waterproof breathable fabric like Gore-tex® or Sympatex® that’s designed and constructed to keep water out, while letting water vapor (sweat) escape. You stay dry and comfortable even when the temps climb or the hike to the stream gets long. In addition, breathable models are sized to let you add a base layer for extra insulating power on cold days and come in insulated options that use Light, bulk-free insulation like Thinsulate™ or Primaloft® to keep you warm in the coldest water.
Neoprene waist waders use the natural insulating power and buoyancy of neoprene to keep you warm in the water. Available in thicknesses from 3mm to 7mm, these waders are ideal for Spring and fall fishing when extreme temps can test your will to fish.
PVC and rubber waist waders give you an outstanding value option that respects even the tightest fishing budget so you sacrifice nothing in the name of getting out to wet a line.
Bootie or built-in boot – the choice is yours
Waist waders come in two styles. Bootie models let you use our favorite wading shoes.
Boot models feature an integrated rubber boot that speeds dressing time and means you’ll never open the trunk and realize your wading shoes are sitting in the garage back home.
